History

Blended price per million tokens, recorded over time. The series grows daily and reconstructs each historical point at the date a constituent price changed.

Methodology

How the index is built

Each index is the equal-weighted average of its constituents' blended price: a fixed 3:1 input-to-output token ratio, calculated as (3 x input + 1 x output) / 4, in US dollars per million tokens. Fixing the ratio means the index measures price movement, not a changing usage mix.

Baskets are fixed and named so the series stays comparable over time. Each slot lists candidate model keys, and the first one present in the catalog on a given date is used. Prices come from the LiteLLM open dataset, synced daily. Historical points are reconstructed from our price version history.
